Selected Case Studies in Advanced Database System

Abstract


In this paper, it focuses to have a vivid explanation and discuss business intelligence and describe the business intelligence framework. An explanation of decision support systems and how do they affect the business environment. A comparison between operational support data from decision support data and a discussion on data warehouse and explain its main characteristics; give at least three (3) example problems likely to occur when operational data are integrated to the data warehouse. All the discussion is presented in a case study situation.
