A study of SWOT analysis of selected mechanical large and medium scale industry in Satara District: Application of Supply chain quality management

In this paper researcher illustrates strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of large and medium scale mechanical industry in satara district. Supply chain management and Total quality management practices are used to analyze SWOT. Different TQM constructs such as top management commitment, customer focus ,HRM, Measurement analysis and improvement, process management, Product and service design, supplier management, Training and education are evaluated and for SCM constructs Changing corporate culture, Customer relationship,Facilities,Information management, Inventory Management, Lean system,SC benchmarking, Strategic planning, Strategic supplier partnership,Subcontractingis used to assess the competing strength  and weakness of each industry and then favorable and unfavorable factors for achieving organizational objective identified and analyzed for determine opportunities and threats.
