Feminism: A Challenge to the Knowledge of IR

Rapti Mishra

Feminist theory also came as a critic of the grand theories of international relations- Realism, Liberalism and related theories, and it was for the first time the question of where are women in IR was asked, with much louder voice than ever before. The complete ignorance of ‘women’ in the study of international relation is the major concern of this approach, therefore it aimed at successfully making the presence of women feel in the study of  international politics. This paper is an attempt to present the contribution of the feminist theory in the field of International relations.
