Availability of ICT Infrastructure Facilities to Access E-resources among the University Libraries of Punjab and Chandigarh- A Study
The application of ICT in libraries has transformed the concept of libraries from traditional libraries to electronic libraries. It plays a very important role in facilitating access to electronic resources globally. In this paper, an attempt has been made to examine and compare the ICT infrastructure facilities (such as hardware, software, campus LAN, and Internet facilities) available in the university libraries of Punjab and Chandigarh. From the survey, it was found that the participating libraries vary to a great extent from one another as far as their ICT infrastructure is concerned.
